I finally got around to removing the Senegalese Twists that I had installed as a Protective Style at the beginning of February.
No, don't do the math.
Yes, it was in for a long time.
Let's leave it at that, shall we?In my case, I wanted to use as little commercial products as possible, to avoid harsh chemicals or ingredients that may have been too much for my strands.
I mentally assessed the natural products I had on hand, their purpose and characteristics to determine the benefits to my hair and scalp at different steps through Removing (my) Long Term Protective Style.
Outlined below is a list of natural ingredients that you are most likely to have on hand, and the steps at which they can be used during removal and wash day after a protective style.
*A couple extras (not usually readily on hand) are also included.
