Hair Challenge Alert! | 90-Day Winter Hair Challenge with Lavishly Natural's

Clearly I’m a sucker for a Challenge!

I literally just stumbled upon this challenge on Pinterest last night and immediately signed up…after carefully reviewing the details of course, and previous challenge history.

The timing of this 90-Day Challenge is perfect, as during these coming months of cooler temps and adverse artificial heat, for myself, (and a third of the world’s population), extra care and attention have to be placed on caring for and nurturing our hair.  It’s an area I know nothing about as I’m still in my first year.  Much alike a baby, I’m just soaking it all in and learning.

Back to Basics Series by Craving Yellow

I recently discovered this chick called Tabitha who runs the site Craving Yellow.  While we've never met, and I haven't even followed this site for 3 months, I feel her on so many levels!  Her journey is amazing and, if I had to confess I'd say she's my hair idol.  I could be unrealistic and #hairgoals on some curly chick's pics on IG, but that's not fair to myself.  This Tabitha however, really gives me serious inspiration and motivation... and she doesn't even know.  Her hair is legitimately my #hairgoal, length...everything!

As the year winds down, holidays draw near, soon will be the beginning of a new year, and food becomes a focal area for many of us.  Maybe it's all the food that is suddenly thrust in our faces?
Actually, that's exactly what it is!
How do all the holidays at this time of year revolve around food? ('-_-')
It's a conspiracy!  \(^.^)/

4 Tips That Will Save You Time & Money When Purchasing New Products

This list checklist isn't just easy on the pockets, it saved me a lot of headache from having to deal with potential setbacks in my hair journey because I used the wrong products at the wrong time, or mixed products (lines) with ingredients that did not complement each other.  Also, thanks to the trials and errors of others before me, this list has saved me from wasted hours of styling that failed as a result of the mentioned reasons.

Coily Kinks | Miss Jessie's Coily Custard Review

In August I finally got some New Hair Goodies (<<see post). I was so excited to start using some new, natural, 'good for you', hair products.  I even joined a hair challenge that allowed me to incorporate some of my new hair goodies in the month of August.  This gave a period of use long enough to test the product, try in a few different ways, and gauge and determine how well the products worked with my hair.  As we all know, 1x use does not a holy grail make.
After testing the waters with a couple of the products, I can say that they have found their spot in my hair care line-up.

Spicy Greens | Creating a Better Me - October Challenges Review

In October I undertook 2 challenges in line with my journey towards a Natural Lifestyle which I spoke about in my Green Smoothies & Spicy Yoga post last month.  I am so happy that I selected both these challenges as they were so complementary, and became seamlessly incorporated in my regular routine.
